Understand Asovex Roles and Permissions
Asovex uses roles to present the dashboard and actions appropriate to each person. Association Admin, Treasurer, Secretary, and Member roles do not have the same responsibilities or access. Why access differs
Your role is assigned within your association. It determines the dashboard that opens after sign-in and which operational areas are available. This keeps association work organized and helps protect sensitive actions. For a practical overview, read Understand your Asovex role and dashboard. Ask an existing administrator to review access when it does not match your responsibilities.
Voting also depends on the audience set for each item, beyond the dashboard role. See understand voting eligibility for member participation and manager access.
Communication controls also follow the assigned workspace. Understand announcement visibility explains who can publish association activity and how members see the resulting announcement.
Direct messaging uses the active members available in your current association. See Live Chat access and member status when a member or chat entry is unavailable.
Document and project controls also depend on the current association role and original uploader. Understand Documents and Projects access explains those differences.
For the workflow that reviews members and changes association roles, see Understand Leadership in Asovex and its leadership access safeguards.
An association's plan can also lock a feature independently of role permission. Understand Asovex plan feature access explains required-plan messages and the Association Admin upgrade path.
For the privacy effect of association membership, roles, and feature-specific audiences, read Understand Security and Privacy in Asovex.
If an action is missing, understand why an Asovex feature is unavailable before changing a role or subscription.
