Understand Announcement Visibility

An announcement belongs to the association connected to the activity that was published. Members viewing that association's dashboard can see its announcements; users in another association do not receive the same announcement list through this workflow.

What members see

The announcement list shows the description and attribution copied from the original association activity. Entries appear newest first in All Announcements, while the dashboard panel shows only the latest items.
Publishing also creates a New Announcement entry in the notification history of users currently associated with that association. This does not guarantee that every person receives an email, text message, or device notification. Delivery outside the in-app history depends on the notification channel, the user's preferences, and device permission where applicable. See manage notification preferences.

Who can publish

Association Admins can publish from All Activities, and Secretaries have a Create Announcement quick action that opens that activity workflow. Other users may be able to view announcements without seeing the Announce control.
Use Understand Asovex roles and permissions when an officer's workspace is missing the expected option. To review the publishing steps, see publish an association activity as an announcement.
