Understand Governance Item Status

The status on Governance Details tells you where an item is in its voting lifecycle. The Voting Hub also has status tabs to help you find it.
Draft means the item is still being prepared and is visible to meeting and voting managers. Scheduled means it has been published with a future opening time. Active means the voting window is open. Closed means the window ended or an authorized manager used Close now. Archived and Cancelled items do not accept responses. The app can advance a scheduled item to active and an expired item to closed as it refreshes voting data.
Only an active item within its configured time window can accept a ballot. An organizer can publish a draft from Governance Details and close an active item early. If you expected to vote but see Scheduled or Closed, check the displayed start, end, and timezone. Voting access troubleshooting covers other causes.
Closing does not automatically make results visible to every member. The organizer's Results setting controls the result preview shown on details; see view voting results. For a tied outcome, authorized managers may see Conduct again after closing to schedule another voting window.
